you are probably already familiar with the problem from a conventional hot water control unit: if a circulation pump is installed in your water system in combination with a time-switch, then the pump pointlessly transports up to 95% of the hot water through the pipes within the given periods because nobody has turned the hot tap on. heat is lost and thus unnecessary energy. what’s more: if you require hot water outside the set times, then it can happen that cold water comes out of your shower for the first few minutes because the circulation pump was switched off. and at least until the water still in the pipes which has cooled down completely is used up and new hot water can flow. water is lost and that not only costs your purse but also the environment. this is not a new piece of information. nevertheless, many of the systems on the market do not offer the convenience of activating the circulation pump at the very point where the hot water is required, namely directly in the water tap.
